Eddy Hoffman

Would love to be able to resume contact with an old friend from SSHS, Eddy Hoffman (not sure if correct spelling).
Eddy was originally from Kenya. Last known address (by me) was North Beach.
Eddy often attracted teacher trouble, mainly due to his long hair. Amazingly that was still a bit of a no no in 66 and 67.

We shared class with other notable SSHS ratbags Mick Malone, Russell Wade and Greg Stevens.

Any help with contact details would be much appreciated.

Regards
Graham

Graham,

I believe Eddy’s parents or siblings may still live in their original family home at Abbett Street, Scarborough. The spelling is correct by the way. I know his sister Carol married Christopher Pinch (SSHS Year 12 — ’66 or ’67) so you may find her by that married name in the book. Brilliant Guy I agree.

Cheers

Hi Norm

Thanks for that. I remember Chris Pinch well. Coincidently he and I were in the same primary school (Bentley-a long way from Scarborough) classes for a few years.

I remember Eddy’s house in Abbott St. Didn’t know his folks still lived there. As mentioned in my original post, (post SSHS), Eddy, Carol and at least one other brother were sharing a house at North Beach.

You’ve been a great help. Will follow up.

Regards

Graham

Hi again Norm

Found C & C Pinch @ Menora in white pages.

Bit late to follow up tonight. Will give it a go tomorrow.

Thanks again.

Graham

PS. Should know you. Looked at your profile. Appears you were a year behind Eddy and I. Did you play any sport for the school? eg footy, cricket, rugby. I got sucked in by one of the sports teachers (cant remember his name, but a good guy) that was a rugby nutter, and formed SSHS first ever rugby team. Even conned a couple of us into playing for his club side on Saturdays. Gave it up when player from our team (the Saturday one) bit the ear off an opponent.
