Terms and conditions
My philosophy for this site is that hopefully we are “normal” mature adults. As such I expect us all to behave in a courteous manner to fellow members.
FORUM POSTS
- Accept the fact that we have different standards and be mindful of what you post and consider how other people may interpret your post.
- If you find a post or article which you think is offensive PLEASE, PLEASE report it. If deemed to be offensive the author will be requested to modify their own post otherwise the post will be modified as required by the site administrators.
- Any post found to be promoting illegal activity will be will dealt with at the discretion of the site administrators.
- Offensive words will be automatically censored in the forum; you have ability to disable this option in your forum control panel.
- Anyone continually reported for offensive behaviour will be asked to refrain from their actions; if they do not comply further action will be taken such as being banned from the forums.
- Links to an external link which might be considered offensive in any way should be preceded with a warning in the forum post before the link.
AVATARS
- The same standards apply to the use of avatars in the forums.
- Consider others before you use that “favourite” picture, some people may consider it offensive. If necessary the offending avatar will be removed.

- If unhappy with any decision made by the site administrators you may request your account be removed from the system.

EMAIL CONTACT
The Scarborough High website reserves the right to contact you by email for the following reasons
- Any account that has been inactivate for a period of over six months will be sent a system generated email to confirm that the email address is still valid. Accounts associated with an invalid email address will be removed from the system.
- To inform members of site news via the newsletter.
- To inform you that a private message has been sent to you.
- Any alert notifications you have set up in the forums.
- Here is an important bit. - From time to time you’ll be sent an email inviting you to participate in research work for postgraduate students. This will at most be a few times a year and while I do make a small amount of money from the research the main benefit is for the student conducting the research. If you have an objection to these invites contact me and I’ll remove you from the list, this will not affect your membership to the site.
